THE SV HIATUS

The Laguna Woods Yacht Club owns a sailing vessel, the Hiatus.  She is a fiberglass sloop,  Catalina 30, berthed at Dana Point Harbor Marina, Dock 22 Slip 26. Complete technical specifications are available here.

Members may participate in day sailing at no charge, subject to availability. Annual membership fees and club fundraising activities cover the full cost of berthing and maintaining our boat. The boat receives regular routine and preventative maintenance, and is fully covered by standard Marine Insurance.

The Club has a procedure for qualifying duly experienced members to skipper the Hiatus. Only skippers are eligible to assume the responsibility of taking the vessel on a sail. Club members in good standing and who have signed an insurance liability waiver may sail aboard her.
