We will be meeting on the patio in front of Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching in the Dana Point Marina area. (See photo and map below.) Please plan to arrive no later than 2:00pm so that we can have an on-time departure! LWYC representatives will be on the patio to check you in and give you a ticket for the cruise (do not go to the Dana Wharf desk). You must have a ticket to board the Dana Pride. Here are a few things you should know to enjoy your whale watching adventure:
- As most of us know, it can get chilly on the water so be sure to bring a jacket or extra layer of clothing.
- The snack bar on the Dana Pride will be open, so bring some cash if you wish to purchase snacks or a beverage.
- While most of the passengers will be LWYC members or guests, there will be other passengers from the general public. For your safety and comfort, you may want to bring a mask to wear during the boarding process and when inside the cabin of the Dana Pride.
- Participants should consider car-pooling to the Dana Wharf area. A total of 70 members and guests from the LWYC will be participating in this event.
- Please be on time (2:00pm) – you don’t want to miss the boat
